Three things that shape every plan
A diagnosis before a treatment
The first appointment is an examination and a conversation, not a scan referral. Degenerative changes turn up on imaging in people with no pain at all, so what matters is whether a finding explains your symptoms. You should leave knowing what we think is causing it.
Injections with something attached
An injection buys a window of reduced pain. What happens in that window decides whether the improvement lasts. Every injection here comes with the rest of the plan, because injecting the same joint four times a year is not a plan.
We will tell you if you need a surgeon
This is a non-surgical practice, which means we have no reason to keep you here. Where an examination points to a problem that needs a surgeon or a different specialty, you will be told and referred rather than treated indefinitely.
Treatments
What we actually do
Which of these applies to you is decided by your examination. Each page says what the treatment involves, how long it takes, and where the evidence does not support it.
Joint Injections
An injection into an irritated joint to reduce pain and inflammation — and, because the response is informative, to confirm that the joint is actually the problem.
What it involves →Trigger Point Injections
A fine needle into a muscle locked in spasm, to break the cycle and make rehabilitation possible. Minutes to do, and often the step that unblocks everything else.
What it involves →PRP Injections
Platelet-rich plasma concentrated from your own blood and injected into a joint or tendon, to support repair rather than only suppress inflammation.
What it involves →Botox for Migraine
A series of small injections given every twelve weeks to reduce how many headache days you have. Preventive, FDA-approved for chronic migraine, and covered by many plans.
What it involves →Serving Morris and Essex County
Patients travel in from across both counties. These pages cover what the practice offers, written for each town.
Tell us what’s going on
A consultation is a conversation and an examination, not a sales appointment. Dr. D’Alessio will tell you what she thinks is causing it, what can be done about it, and — when that is the honest answer — that you do not need a procedure.
