The practice
What we actually do
Every procedure here is done in the office, under local anaesthetic where anaesthetic is needed at all. Which one applies to you is decided by your examination, not by a price list.
Pain management
Pain treatments
Joint Injections
An injection into an irritated joint to reduce pain and inflammation — and, because the response is informative, to confirm that the joint is actually the problem.
- Time
- About 15 minutes
- Downtime
- None; avoid strenuous activity for 24–48 hours
Trigger Point Injections
A fine needle into a muscle locked in spasm, to break the cycle and make rehabilitation possible. Minutes to do, and often the step that unblocks everything else.
- Time
- A few minutes per site
- Downtime
- None; avoid heavy exertion the same day
PRP Injections
Platelet-rich plasma concentrated from your own blood and injected into a joint or tendon, to support repair rather than only suppress inflammation.
- Time
- About 45 minutes including preparation
- Downtime
- A few days of reduced activity; no anti-inflammatories around the procedure
Botox for Migraine
A series of small injections given every twelve weeks to reduce how many headache days you have. Preventive, FDA-approved for chronic migraine, and covered by many plans.
- Time
- About 15 minutes
- Downtime
- None
Vein care
Vein treatments
Radiofrequency Ablation
Controlled heat delivered through a thin catheter seals a refluxing vein from the inside. An office procedure under local anaesthetic, and the standard replacement for vein stripping.
- Time
- About an hour
- Downtime
- Walk out the same day; no strenuous activity for a short period
Varithena® Microfoam
An FDA-approved foam that fills and collapses veins too twisted or branched for a catheter. Injected, not threaded, so shape is not an obstacle.
- Time
- Under an hour
- Downtime
- Same-day return to normal activity
Sclerotherapy
A series of tiny injections that collapse spider veins and small varicose veins so the body absorbs them. The standard treatment, and still the best one for surface veins.
- Time
- About 30 minutes
- Downtime
- None — you walk out and carry on with your day
Ultrasound Vein Mapping
A painless standing ultrasound that shows which veins are refluxing, how badly and how far. The map everything else is built on.
- Time
- About 30 minutes
- Downtime
- None
Tell us what’s going on
A consultation is a conversation and an examination, not a sales appointment. Dr. D’Alessio will tell you what she thinks is causing it, what can be done about it, and — when that is the honest answer — that you do not need a procedure.
